WATER OF ROSES
HELLO HELLO
Welcome to another blog of homemade skin care recipes! Today I am super excited to share with you the step by step of how to make a completely natural and chemical-free facial toner. To contextualize them a little, I tell you that for my birthday I received an impressive amount of my favorite flowers (roses OBVIOUSLY); and well, you know that I love to use everything! So, to not let this divine gift go to waste, I collected all the petals and made my own rose water.
Among all the masks and beauty products that I have made from home, this rose water is at the top of my list of favorites. It is a highly recommended toner, even for sensitive skin, easy to make and offers wonderful benefits such as:
- Anti-inflammatory effect: helps reduce redness and treat conditions such as acne or dermatitis.
- Healing properties.
- Removes impurities and makeup residue.
- Relax and hydrate the skin of your entire body and face.
- It gives shine, softness and texture to the hair.
Well, without further delay I share with you the step by step of how to prepare organic rose water:
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
- A pan. I recommend buying a new one for exclusive use in skincare recipes, however you can also use one you already have as long as you clean and sterilize it well!
- Distilled or drinking water.
- Rose petals.
- A spray atomizer.
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Gently remove the petals from the rose.
- Add a liter of water to the sterilized pot, for every dozen roses,
- Cover the container and let the water boil.
- When the water is boiling, lower the heat to minimum and leave it there for 10-15 minutes.
- After this time, the petals should look faded and the water slightly colored.
- Turn off the burner and keep the lid on until the water cools.
- Remove the petals, transfer the water to the spray bottle and store in the refrigerator so it lasts longer.
And ready! Now you can incorporate this natural rose water into your skincare rituals. Use it to set your beauty look, remove makeup, soothe your skin post-waxing, or even as a pre-mask.
