THE PERFECT DESSERT FOR THIS CHRISTMAS: AVOCADO BROWNIES
It's officially the most DELICIOUS time of the year! As many of you know, one of my favorite Christmas activities is enjoying a wide variety of baked desserts in bed, while watching movie marathons with my daughters. This is why, throughout the month of December, I am always experimenting in the kitchen, to find delicious and healthy recipes that I can enjoy at home or share with my loved ones during the holidays.
If you are also looking for a spectacular recipe that all your family and friends will love, look no further! Read on to find out how to make my new favorite Christmas dessert: avocado chocolate brownies! These brownies are moist, chocolatey, and look great. Plus, avocado adds extra vitamins to this super low-sugar dessert.
INGREDIENTS:
- 78 grams of sugar-free chocolate (I used this one from the Colombian brand LOK)
- 2 ounces of almond milk
- 2 eggs
- Vanilla - 5 ml
- Liquid stevia to taste (I used 15 ml)
- ½ avocado
- Salt - 2.4 ml
- Baking powder - 5 ml
- Unsweetened cocoa powder - 15 ml
- Almond flour -1 cup
- Coconut sugar - 10 ml
HOW TO MAKE AVOCADO BROWNIES:
- Step 1: Preheat the oven, at least 10 minutes before, to 350 degrees.
- Step 2: Dilute the chocolate in 2 ounces of almond milk and add stevia to taste. Stir in a saucepan until the chocolate melts.
- Step 3: Add the melted chocolate, half an avocado, two eggs and 5ml of vanilla to a food processor or blender. Blend until smooth, we don't want any avocado chunks left!
- Step 4: Add stevia to taste and mix all dry ingredients: 2.4 ml salt, 5 ml baking powder, 15 ml unsweetened cocoa powder, unsweetened, 1 cup almond flour and 10 ml sugar coconut.
- Step 5: Pour into a mold and bake for 45 minutes.
- Step 6: Once the brownies are cool, you can decorate them however you want! I like to simply add some green and red sprinkles to give it that Christmas touch.
And that's it! Get ready to impress your guests with these fabulous healthy brownies that taste amazing and will dazzle your holiday meal!
